What is Tooth Sensitivity?
Pain or discomfort in teeth when exposed to hot, cold, sweet, or acidic substances.
Tooth sensitivity occurs when the underlying dentin becomes exposed due to receding gums or worn enamel. This exposes microscopic tubules that lead to the nerve, causing pain when triggered by temperature, sweets, or acids. Treatment includes desensitizing toothpaste, fluoride treatments, or dental procedures.
