What is Dental Pulp?

The soft tissue inside the tooth containing nerves and blood vessels.
Dental pulp is the innermost part of the tooth containing connective tissue, nerves, and blood vessels. It extends from the crown to the tip of the roots. The pulp nourishes the tooth and provides sensory function. When damaged or infected, root canal treatment may be needed to save the tooth.
