What is Dental Implant?

An artificial tooth root surgically placed in the jawbone to support a replacement tooth or bridge.
A dental implant is a titanium post that is surgically positioned into the jawbone beneath the gum line. Once in place, it allows the dentist to mount replacement teeth or bridges. Implants don't come loose like dentures and benefit oral health because they don't require grinding down adjacent teeth.
