TMJ disorders affect the temporomandibular joint, the hinge connecting your jaw to your skull. Symptoms include jaw pain, clicking or popping sounds, difficulty opening the mouth, and headaches. Causes can include teeth grinding, arthritis, jaw injury, or stress.
